My dogs definitely like this toy. While it isn’t the most durable toy and shows some wear after only a week, the dogs definitely can’t destroy it as easily as other toys. It’s far from indestructible, but it should last. My biggest issue with this toy is how dirty it gets. The hard plastic is fine despite getting a little jagged from chewing, but the softer rubber part just collects dirt like crazy. After the dogs chew on it a bit, it becomes a nasty, slimy, muddy mess. Other than that, I like this toy and would recommend it.

This heavy chew toy is surviving a LGD’s puppy teething time
Very good quality, may even be indestructible. My dogs are very large Livestock Guardian Dogs and large working dogs. Thy range in age from puppies learning their jobs to retired dogs who have less actual livestock duties and help the younger dogs learn. I have some puppies who are still in the chewing stage. Everything gets chewed. From furniture to fence posts. I saw this brightly colored toy and thought it would be just right for the youngest pup. I ordered it hoping it would last through the first day. I am very happy to say it lasted through the first day with no damage at all to the toy. Today is the third day of the turkey toy being played with by the pup and some of the younger dogs. The turkey is still in one piece, no missing chunks, torn place or holes in the toy. This is a world record. Most toys are torn up the first day and by the third are damaged, torn, missing parts and pieces. This one is different. It is knobby and some of the knobs on it are chewed and show teeth marks and definite signs of being chewed, pawed, tossed and being played with by a strong jawed dog. However the signs of chewing are expected, there is no other markings on the toy. Nothing is torn off, chewed off, bitten off, no holes, missing chunks or pieces. It has been carried around almost constantly by the pup or one of the other dogs who managed to snatch it while the pup was eating, resting or sleeping. I like this toy turkey that looks like a turkey drumstick, is bright orange and easy to find, has survived a tug of war with several dogs, and been lovingly chewed by a teething growing strong jawed pup. And several of the younger dogs too. Yes, order this fantastic toy for your chewy dog, I am very pleased with it, my dogs like it. It is surviving a large dogs pyppy hood. It is brightly colored oragnge making it easy to find, is heavy and of very good quality.

Smelly, but sturdy
So, when it says ‘real turkey taste’ I have no doubt about it because this treat smells a bit like stale, salty turkey gravy. My dog seems to be into it, but it is fairly unpleasant for me to have to smell.As far as sturdiness, its definitely going to stand up better than most toys for aggressive chewers… but I wouldn’t even say this toy is for anything smaller than a large breed. My hound/shepherd mix is an aggressive chewer, but he struggles with getting his mouth around most of it to chew and it is heavy and awkward for him to carry with him. Furthermore, it is very difficult to get it to squeek because of how thick and hard the rubber part is.If you can tolerate the smell and have a larger dog, you’ll probably be more satisfied and worth it. However, I don’t think the range of dogs it lists as appropriate for is correct.

Excellent toy for aggressive chewers for an amazing price.
We have 2 bulldogs that qualify as âaggressive chewersâ not in their veracity, but in their persistence. Itâs rare that we have a soft new chew toy or ball last more than a few days. The hard ones will last longer, but they donât seem to enjoy them as much. They particularly enjoy the toys and balls that squeak, but usually they will pull them apart within a few hours/days so they no longer squeak.Iâm not sure how long toys like this have been around, but we buy a lot of dog toys and Iâve never seen one like this until recently. On the ends itâs made up of the hard nylon material that seems very durable but in the middle it has a softer area that squeaks.Supposedly turkey flavored but Iâm not dedicated enough to this review to have actually verified that.This thing is genius.. Our dogs love it and Iâm not saying the middle section is impenetrable, but it seems fairly tough so Iâm hoping it will last. Iâll update if it doesnât, but right now Iâm thinking this is the best of both worlds and an excellent toy for aggressive chewers. Also, the price is currently $12.99 but there is a 40% coupon which makes it about $7.80. This is a steal, especially considering the fact that itâs delivered free to your door. I donât know how they make any profits when things like this are priced so cheap. Highest Recommendation!

Dog Love It
Like many of the previous reviews have pointed out, this is one ugly chew toy. We have an Aussie and a black Lab and they both LOVE this thing. The Aussie is a very aggressive chewer, loving to tear things apart to find the stuffing or better yet the coveted squeaker. So far this thing has held up. The plastic ends are showing some signs of wear after a couple of weeks but the tough rubber body is unscathed. And though he loves to make it squeak, has not been able to get to the prize. Good job on creating a toy able to withstand the aggressive chewer and still keep their interest. At its current price, definitely a worthwhile purchase.
