Does what it’s supposed to do
I bought this brand as a replacement of another brand I’ve used. I have been using collagen for over a year now. I began using collagen type 1 & 2 & 3 but reading up on the different types of collagen I decided to upp my game and add lll, V & X. Increasing my protein and collagen intake has been part of my health journey since 2017. Taking a supplement collagen added to my morning coffee has greatly improved my joint pain and increased skin tone and helped reduce/eliminate wrinkles. I like the health benefits. I have eliminated sugar in my diet since 2017 and believe this also has helped improve my skin and joints. One note to keep in mind is if you’re thinking of taking a collagen supplement to improve age related “issues” remember supplements like this take time and consistency to work. It’s not a quick fix”. No magic pill to better health. You gotta do the work. It’s part of a lifestyle. I wish I began a collagen supplement years ago. As far as this brand is concerned, it’s a new one to me and so far I like it. It’s slightly more pricey but I believe it’s a better quality collagen than the big box store brands. The powder is very fine and you need to take care when you open the canister. I was happy to see they included a scoop. (I’ve saved a few scoops as most companies are eliminating them) I add a scoop to my coffee while I use a frother to blend it. Some say that certain brands clump if you don’t use a blender type appliance to mix. I don’t know how well this blends if you stir it in. I gentle sprinkle a scoop in my cup as I use my frother and it blends beautifully. No clumps. There’s no taste but my coffee is 22 ounces. I did notice a slight “creamy” flavor when I used a full scoop in a 12 ounce cup. Adding 1/2 scoop eliminated any noticeable flavor. All in all I’m very happy with this brand but do wish they offered a larger tub. I like that it does come in a tub as opposed to a bag though having an option for a “refill bag” would be nice. Less of a footprint and all. I do recommend this brand and will purchase again.

Best option i have found
My collagen journey: i started with Anthonys collegen peptide powder, 1lb bag. Terrible, didn’t dissolve, just clumped and stuck to the sides of the cup like glue, also only had the 1 type of collagen, nothing else, did not finish the bag. Next i found a bag of simple truth collagen peptides on the fred meyer clearance shelf. It did dissolve and i saw improvement in my hair and nails, i finished the bag, but it did not seem worth it at full price because it was a small amount of only 1 collagen and nothing else. Next i tried Ancient Nutrition multi collagen protein powder thinking with how many best lists it appears on, its gotta be worth it, right? It was worse than the others. Expensive, clumped instead of dissolved though eventually did if you let your drink sit around for 30 mins, but the smell and taste was absolutely horrible. I believe that was due to the fermented eggshell and the bone broths. Returned it because i could not force myself to choke it down. Discovered this one on here, the price is very affordable, it has multiple forms of collagen, all hydrolyzed, plus the extra vitamins and hyaluronic acid. I followed the suggestion of mixing it with a warm drink first then adding ice, but instead i add just enough warm water to dissolve it in the bottom of my cup, then add in ice and w/e juice or tea i wanted. Dissolves instantly, no clumping, only a slight smell before adding the rest of my drink but it is gone after, no taste or mouth feel whatsoever. A final, though possibly trivial aspect, i love the size of the container. I was pissed when i opened the giant tub of Ancient Nutrition to find it was only half full. There is no unreasonable air space in this much smaller tub. 2 of these stack to the same size of one Ancient tub. This is my now my go to and i have it on subscription. Will update in a month if there is noticable improvement in my health.
