Excellent, reliable footage
This is an excellent set of video cameras. They feel solid and well made, and came with all the necessary mounting tools for installation. They can be put in outdoor and indoor locations, but they are meant to be mounted securely rather than just set somewhere like those indoor home cameras. They connect to power cables that are then routed to a DVR device (search Amazon for “DVR recorder”–there are several that can be used for security setups). In short, this isn’t a gimmicky home camera system that relies on an app, subscriptions fees, or a wireless internet that is prone to failure, but a versatile and high quality device that you can use to create a professional-level recording setup.Personally, I got this for both indoor and outdoor use to supplement a bunch of Eufy cameras I have been using to monitor my son during the few hours I am away from home when he is there during the day. The Eufy system is good in that it has an app you can view from anywhere, but the problem is it doesn’t always work. Quite often I will try to connect and it just infinitely loads, or it says it “can’t play video right now.” This happens when I have full bars of internet, and as far as I can tell it is just flawed software. As a former software engineer myself, I don’t want to trust my son’s safety to the kinds of software these companies produce.So, we had a security issue recently that I won’t go into, but it was a situation where having the front door recorded would have been a matter of saving me a bunch of sanity for several hours. Well, the Eufy cameras had not recorded as they were supposed to. They can sometimes show me what is happening live, but they can’t be relied on to actually record to provide a record for the police or anyone else later. These new cameras can. Therefore, my new plan is to keep using the Eufy, but to put these cameras in strategic locations so that what happens there will be recorded over a wired connection. It’s just more reliable.As far as clarity, the images I am seeing are perfectly clear. The night vision works. I connected them to DVR and everything is good to go.I hope I never need the footage from these, but if I do, I think it will actually be there.

This is an ADD-ON for my Video System
Picture A, is of the 4 cameras, 4 bundles of 60 foot wiring, and the power adapter. Picture B, is the system with 4 cameras are playing on my TV. This is before I added these cameras. Picture C, is what the video screen looks like with 8 cameras playing looks like. I do know the screen is all clustered and so is everything else. This was the easy part as I had to try it all out before I spend many hours installing wires all all over my house for eight cameras. I always think, will I ever catch anything exciting. I really don’t care and hope I really don’t. I just want to protect my stuff as cheap as I can. This system does give alarms for many things so you never know. This is a good system and these 4 cameras are a great add on to this system. But now starts the hard work of mounting wiring all over the inside and outside of my house. I am not scared of work and I am good with it. I got to say thank you to the company that is selling these as they are what I have wanted for several years and since then they have gotten better. On or Off the Net your choice and I know which way I am going. I hope this helps with your buying of great cameras for you camera system.
