Best for Vaulted ceilings
We recently vaulted our ceilings and our prior recessed cans were not going to work. Since the drywall was going to be new we figured it was best to use pancake boxes as these are pretty easy to replace and switch out. Also the option to change the light temperature is very helpful. Our ceilings are at a steep angle, so these LEDs were the perfect fit to redirect the light where we wanted it. In our case, away from the bed and towards the floor. The quality of the Junction Box is pretty durable- we feel safe putting that in the ceiling. The look of these is different than the normal LED lights you find – you can see the glass look which makes it a bit more sleek.

If you are on the fence about jumping into the world of can killer lights – these are a great choice to make the plunge. The driver box is well built, with easy access points and even include the wago wire nuts ready to accept your 14 gauge romex. By all accounts, this luminaire passes all the NEC requirements and is up to current electrical code.The gimbal point is where this light really shines (pun intended). It has a full 180 degree flex point, and rotates a complete 360 degrees as well. This light will point any direction you need. It also includes the foam seal around the inside lip od the fixture – this is extremely important if you are concerned about maintaining an energy star air tight house. This is something the other luminaires fall short on.The black finish is extremely attractive, and seems to be durable. I highly recommend these lights.

Nothing too fancy, but they’re sleek and functional. Pretty simple straightforward installation, as expected.I like the multiple color temperature selections. I generally opt for warm lighting, but it’s nice to have cooler options available.The gimbal functionality works well for vaulted ceilings, or as I intend to use them: throwing light sideways at a wall.
