Fabulous! Auxiliary hearing aid
This sound bar is easy to use.Hi tech for an exceptionally reasonable price. I have moderate+ hearing loss. I like to watch TV at bedtime. Without my hearing aids in, I had to rely on closed caption- not a pleasant way watch.Now, I can watch normally!What a relief and pleasant experience. Do yourself a huge favor-try this device.Who knows- maybe British tv productions will become intelligible

Very clear vocal sound
The ZVOX soundbar is certainly worth the investment and at a very good price. The verbal dialogue as well as the overall sound is exceptionally clearer than the TV audio on its own. Anyone with a hearing loss or who wears hearing devices will especially benefit by the enhanced clarity. There are also various additional settings to further enhance either voice and/or surround sound but we found that the volume control button on the soundbar remote is sufficient and effective enough.

Great sound, having one issue with it.
This worked beautifully right out of the box. Very simple hookup. I havenât had to use my TV ears since. However, after just a couple months, I am getting sporadic âcracklingâ sounds with voices- on live news and talk shows. I got a quick response from them, with some fixes to try with the cables, but it didnât help. My husband moved it to the newer, bedroom tv, to see if it was any better there, and it really amplified the sound from that tv beautifully. He thinks it may be due to that tv having the optical cable. He moved it back to the Living room tv, and I found that it doesnât crackle during my drama and action shows. So I will live with it, as it IS still better than having the TV ears, and maybe weâll buy a newer tv this Xmas.

Great Product for People that are hard of hearing
We purchased this sound bar and also a Bose sound bar and tried them each for several days before deciding on this sound bar. The Bose had really good sound but this one has much better sound options for the hard of hearing. It takes a bit to try each level and see which one works the best for you but if you have a hard time understanding the spoken words in tv shows and movies then you will enjoy this sound bar.

User error causes high returns
I believe customers are not aware of the feature (Auto Standby) which causes the Zvox to cutoff after 20min. This item is shipped with the feature on, but once you go into settings and bypass this feature, it doesn’t cutoff anymore. This is my 2nd Zvox soundbar. I am totally deaf in 1 ear, so hearing is a challenge, but Zvox makes the voices crystal clear without forcing me to turn the volume up high.

Broken and Defective – I suspect REFURBISHED products being sold âNewâ
I received the item fast. Awesome! Box was in tact but upon opening I saw the speaker grill was slightly bent and coming apart. Zooming in, you can see the inside of the speakers! I tried to push it back into place assuming minor defect, but it popped right back out. This feels more like the speaker has been taken apart (my suspicion). In testing the integrity of the unit, the speaker sounded great but it turned off three (3) times within first 45 minutes!!! That is NOT normal. Iâve owned many speakers and theyâve never turned off while watching TV. I connected via optical cable to my Samsung Neo QLED TV. This further strengthens my suspicion the speaker sent to me might have been refurbished. I returned the speaker… but do you ever get the sense returned products are just repackaged and resold âas newâ? This is illegal but experiences like this sure makes one wonder⦠I will contact Amazon to report this, as I donât believe the automated return system is being monitored for this kind of seller activity, though I could be wrong (shrug). This was my experience, Truth Unfiltered.

No Working Customer Support Line
I ordered this item on July 11. It was pretty easy to set up and it seemed to work fine. Occasionally, I would not get sound out of the speaker when I turned on the TV. But this was remedied by turning the speaker off and then back on. On October 2, I turned on the TV and I got no sound out of the speaker. I turned it off, and then on, but still no sound. I checked the connections and the settings and everything was correct. I tried re-setting by unplugging and replugging, but no luck. I also did a reset on the device, as per instructions on the website. As a last resort, I called the customer service number listed on their website and in their manual. All I got was a message telling me that I could find most answers on their website/FAQS (I didn’t) and if I didn’t, that I should email customer support. Then the message ended, and the call disconnected. When I did email customer support, I got an automated reply that I would get a response within 48 hours. I am now waiting for a response. I will update this review once there is a conclusion. I just find it awful that this is the best that they can do for customer service. Most manufacturers at least have someone that you can talk to when all else fails, to try to walk you through the issue. To be continued…Update: A Zvox tech reached out to me a couple of days later with suggestions for a fix. I tried the suggestions and the speaker worked again for a few hours, before stopping again. They are sending a replacement. I was informed that they had to suspend phone support due to a staffing shortage.

Great Improvement Over TV Speakers
As a person with diminished hearing, I was hopeful this soundbar would help me better understand the dialogue on television programs. It was very easy to set up, and the directions for use were clear. What a difference this soundbar makes!! I can now more easily understand dialogue without cranking the volume up to jet takeoff level. The soundbar directs all of the sound straight at the viewer and allows you to make small adjustments to make voices easier to understand. Highly recommended.

For the past year I have been struggling to hear the dialogue on TV shows. I know I have some hearing loss at age 68 but I hear just fine other than with the TV. The ZVOX soundbar solved my problem and I can now enjoy watching TV again. The installation was as easy as they claimed and the remote was very simple to use. You can adjust the sound clarity to suite you specifically because of the many levels available. I highly recommend this soundbar to anyone who struggles to hear the TV dialogue. The price was very reasonable and worth every cent.

Loved the soundbar but after the 60 days experienced problems with the handset. Contacted seller hoping to receive a replacement handset as you can’t operate the soundbar without it. Received a response from Amazon advising us to return everything! However as it was past the 60 days I couldn’t do this and contacted Amazon who opened a return request which was closed by the seller with no explanation. Amazon opened a second return request which was again closed with no explanation. However I had been advised to open an A&Z request if this happened and was given an address to send back to ensuring it was tracked and insured. I eventually received a refund under the A-Z Guarantee. Loved the product and just wanted another handset. Be aware if you have an issue after 60 days the seller doesn’t want to know

This was a retrofit from an old Samsung so the install was pretty simple. Hooks up with an optical cable and power. Thats pretty much it. There were sufficient sound options for me to find one that helped me. I have compromised hearing and tinnitus so itâs all bad. Is it a full resolution? No. But it did help. That said, it was worth my time.

My wife has hearing issues. Hearing dialogue in movie soundtracks is difficult because of all the background sound. This sound-bar has solved the problem. It has multiple settings which are easily adjustable so that the sound in every movie or video can be tweaked quickly to meet her needs.Set up instructions were clear. All necessary wiring and batteries were included. Manufacturerâs assistance is available.The sound-bar is relatively small, low profile and easy to fit into the TV setup.This is a superior product for the price, in my opinion.
